BIO

Tracy White is a Canadian abstract artist whose work explores play, colour, and the wonder of childhood. Working intuitively, she creates vibrant compositions that balance structure and spontaneity, inviting moments of joy, curiosity, and reflection.

Her practice is rooted in reconnecting with imagination and trust, using abstraction as a way to honour instinct and emotional memory. White’s process often begins with small collage studies, which she uses to explore composition before translating ideas into digital sketches. These sketches are then projected onto raw canvas, where she responds through layers of acrylic paint, mixed media, and mark-making. This approach allows digital, physical, and accidental elements to coexist, resulting in dynamic, visually active surfaces.

White has presented her work in both solo and group exhibitions, and her paintings are represented by Maud Gallery in Edmonton. Her work has also been featured in several publications. Through an ongoing exploration of colour and composition, White values process as much as outcome—creating paintings that serve as spaces for exploration, reflection, and delight.
